Carers are people of any age who look after a friend or relative who needs support because of:
- A physical or learning disability
- Mental illness
- Impaired health due to sickness or old age
Many carers give up work or reduce their hours of work to care, and others in work report an impact of their own physical & emotional health.
Most people need some sort of practical support to help with caring for a loved one. This could mean someone to sit with the person you care for while you go out, or to provide several hours of companionship, to enable the carer to have some time to themselves.
Our services are designed to help and support carers in their everyday life.
